SHERRILL, NY – The Crush defeated the Silversmiths 10-7 to win their second consecutive game.

Evan O’Rourke continued his fantastic stretch of baseball as he went 4-for-5 with a trio of stolen bases. Owen Podolec delivered the clutch blow to drive in two and spark Cortland’s five run 8th inning. He collected four hits on the day with two extra base hits and three RBI. Nick Mahar has continued to be an on base machine with four walks on the day.

Sean Desjardins, Ty Clifton, Andrew Filippeli, and Ryan Wynn each tallied one RBI.

Adam Schwartz opened the game pitching the first two innings while Brendan Karasenes, John Igoe, John DeCoste, Eric Fields and Angelo Agro each saw time. Eric Fields collected the win after pitching 1.2 innings and allowing just one hit.

Cortland (12-8) will travel to face the Dansville Gliders in a doubleheader with game one set for 2 p.m.
