SYRACUSE, NY – The Cortland Crush got back on track and defeated the Syracuse Salt Cats 13-6 on Wednesday night.
Cortland’s offense showed out crossing the plate 13 times with 10 hits. Jake Freed and Max Cairo continued to produce at the plate with three RBIs a piece. Ryan Wynn was an on base machine scoring an incredible five times.
Aaron Izquerido, Owen Podolec, and Evan O’Rourke each drove in one run. O’Rourke also showed off his blazing speed with two triples.
Chase Cummins continued his fantastic start to the season pitching 5.1 innings on three runs, two earned, on four hits, two walks with six strikeouts.
Casey Wilkins and Noah Bromberg also saw time on the mound and did a good job at fending off the Salt Cats attempt at a comeback.
Cortland (11-8) will face Sherrill on Friday, June 30 at 5 p.m. at Noyes Park.
