CORTLAND, NY – The Crush fell 8-6 in game one of today’s doubleheader against the Syracuse Salt Cats in a back and forth contest.

Evan O’Rourke and Eric Giarnese each had two hits in the game with O’Rourke delivering a bases clearing triple to drive in three in the bottom of the 2nd.

Kevin Worek went five innings on three runs, two earned, allowing five hits with five walks and three strikeouts. John Igoe and Angelo Agro both saw time out of the bullpen with Igoe being credited with the loss.

CORTLAND, NY – The Crush fell to the Syracuse Salt Cats in game two of their doubleheader by a score of 6-0.

Nick Mahar continued to swing a hot bat going 2-for-4 with a pair of singles to right field. Jack Coogan and Eric Giarnese each smacked a double while Evan O’Rourke had a late single in the 7th inning.

Vince Dolcemaschio went four innings, allowing four earned runs on seven hits, three walks, and striking out three and was given the loss. Brendan Karadenes went three innings allowing four hits, two runs, one earned on one walk with one strikeout.

Cortland (15-10) will host the Syracuse Spartans on Thursday, July 6 at 6 p.m.
