The Crush fell to the Auburn Doubledays 3-2 in a seven inning exhibition game on Monday night.
Eric Giarnese doubled in Zach Sperger in the top of the 5th to break the scoreless tie.
Ty Clifton continued to produce singling in Jake Freed in the 6th to increase the lead to 2-0.
The Doubledays tied the game in the bottom of the 6th yet Max Cairo nabbed the back runner at second base to end the inning.
The Crush threatened in the top of the 7th yet could not score after the automatic runner at second base. Auburn scored in the bottom of the inning to walk it off.
Cortland (7-4) will host Genesee tomorrow in a doubleheader with game one beginning at 3 p.m.
